THE NGUNI XMAS PRINT®

The Nguni christmas print was inspired by a plethora of elements pertaining to the African terrain and the African animal Kingdom. The colours chosen for the print are presentation of the generic Christmas colours used during the festive season. The Nguni  print is original to the House of Fabrosanz, elements of the print were used on the xmas print to keep it alive and make it leave longer in our homes. The giraffe print in the background represents the my altitude collection which introduced our venda, sepedi and tsonga inspired prints to elevate and celebrate people of the north. The giraffe is the tallest animal in the world and just like the my altitude collection the giraffe symbolizes one reaching their higher, self as a form of growth and empowerment .This is our Christmas story and we choose the marula tree as a catalyst that forms a linkage between the tribes in the Limpopo region and the Nguni tribe, the fruit plays a pivotal role in both cultures as it represents fertility in the Nguni tribe and in the Limpopo region it represents festivity. The pattern was inspired by Zulu, Xhosa, Ndebele and Swati cultures which falls under Nguni tribe in South Africa. The original pattern colours were also taken from our national flag.
